AutomatizaciónAutomating with judgement: what to delegate to AI and what not to
To automate is not to remove people from the middle. It is to decide, process by process, where AI helps and where a human still wins.
When someone asks me to automate, the first question is not which tool to use. It is which process hurts and why. Automating for fashion ends in systems that work fast to do what nobody needed.
Some tasks are born for AI: repetitive, with clear rules and with volume. Answering frequent questions, sorting orders, classifying messages, summarising information, updating spreadsheets. There AI does not replace anyone: it takes the mechanical work off the table so the person can do what truly needs a brain.
There are others where a human still wins. Decisions with real money at stake, sensitive conversations, exceptions that break the rule. AI can prepare the information, sort it and suggest, but the final word stays with someone who answers for it.
The line is not decided by the technology, it is decided by the cost of the error. If being wrong is cheap and reversible, I automate. If being wrong is expensive, AI assists and the person decides.
The result of thinking this way is not a business without people. It is a business where people stop losing hours on the repetitive and spend them on what moves the needle. To automate with judgement is to choose well which problem is worth delegating.
